Originally the woodstore used for keeping the fuel for the woodfired bread oven, The old woodstore this building has been rebuilt and retains the size and style of the original. La Casita

The casita provides studio accommodation for two people. The main room contains the bedroom area with two single beds, a sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate shower room and a shaded terrace at the side of the property.

The high beamed ceiling is an attractive feature of this reconstruction and helps to keep the house cooler in the summer months. The kitchen/sitting area

The weekly rates are per property, based on up to two people sharing, self-catering and include bed linen, towels and gas/electricity. The house has a fully equipped kitchen including an extra tap supplying purified drinking water. The fridge will be stocked with the basics for your first breakfast including eggs from our own hens.

Although prices are shown for weekly rentals, part week bookings are welcome and charged at a pro rata daily rate. We offer a 20% discount on the second and subsequent weeks. Rentals may start on any day to suit our guests.

You may pay by cheque, bank transfer or by credit card. With the exception of late availability bookings we have to impose a 3% surcharge on card payments.

The house will be available from 3.00pm on your arrival day and should be vacated by 11.00am on your day of departure. If you need either earlier arrival or later departure times let us know and we will try to be flexible.

Accommodation

We have six houses available. There are 2 two person houses from only £300 per week high season, 3 four person properties and the beautifully restored Cortijo which will comfortably sleep eight guests, with rental prices starting at £600 high season.

Facilities

In the lower mill, dating from the 16th century, is the gym, library and tourism information centre while the favourite place for most guests in the long hot summer days is the large pool which uses an eco friendly system to clean the water, reducing the chemicals required and making the water silky smooth.

Location

Although offically part of the municipality of Algarinejo, the nearest village, 2.5 kilometres away, is Zagra with shops, banks, bars, restaurants, swimming pool and castle. Both Zagra and Algarinejo embody the charm of Spain as it has been for decades where friendly, easygoing people welcome you into their lives.

The area is known as El Poniente Granadino (the west of Granada) and is rich in evidence of Andalucia's Moorish past with castles and watchtowers (atalayas) ever present on the horizon.
